I was helping a guildmate fight from Iron Mines up to Mineral Springs so he could get SoJ. I've been in Mineral a bunch of times before (it is a favorite area of mine) but never went deep into the ice cave there. The imp swarm tends to Maelstrom me to hell.
Tonight we found Myd right away, both got SoJ (I had just switched to monk secondary) and decided to continue exploring. As I had already seen the spawn points for all six bosses and we didn't need any other elite we decided to go into the ice cave. There are two chests right there and a statue of Elyssa the mesmer goddess. A few deaths after killing all the imps we continued through the cave and found an Eidolon. It dropped Spectral Essence which is used in Iron Mines during Infusion. Thinking this was rather odd we continued fighting to the end of the cave. It opened up to the frozen lake you can view elsewhere but can never cross. Standing right there was the Seer!
Have I completely cracked up or is this intentional? Obviously it's a lot easier to do an infusion run in Iron Mines since only one member of the party has to get there to activate the cutscene. But this was kind of nice since I had just upgraded two pieces of armor and was going to infuse anyway.
I'm including a link to two pictures. The first picture on the page is the world map showing the redlined steps to the seer's location. The second picture is of the seer standing there with myself, my guildy, and the henchies hanging out. I closed the party window because I wasn't sure if listing everyone's name was acceptable or not. Sorry about the ugly look of the pics but I changed them from bmps to jpgs for filesize.
If you want to contact me ingame my character there is Trog the Fallen. My guildy gave me permission to use his character name Ji Bu also. Please post under here with additional questions/comments. Really, I just want to know if anyone else knew the seer was there or not.
Yeah I got there too. I went with henchies though. Never got to the seer, but was able to see it. The ice imps are very difficult to kill. Good job on actually killing everything though.
